Rita Januszyk

About

Rita Januszyk is a writer for the Next Generation Science Standards and member of the diversity and equity team. Ms. Januszyk is a 4th grade teacher at Gower West Elementary in Willowbrook, IL. Her teaching responsibilities have spanned instruction in grades K through 5 and serving as the District's Science Coordinator and Enrichment Coordinator. She has a B.S in Biological Science from the University of Illinois, Chicago and a master’s degree in Elementary Education from Northern Illinois University, and was a scientific research assistant at Argonne National Laboratory. Currently, Ms. Januszyk has presented at conferences including the Illinois Reading Council, Illinois Science Teacher Association, Maine Science Teachers Association, and the UIC Bilingual Conference.
