About Carla TantilloCarla Tantillo is an international presenter, author, consultant and teacher. After serving as both a classroom teacher and Curriculum Director, Carla went on to found Mindful Practices, an organization dedicated to putting wellness in the hands of students and teachers from all walks of life. She is the author of Student Wellness in 8-10 Minutes Each Day and Cooling Down Your Classroom and has worked with over 70 schools across the country and abroad to help bring wellness to their student and teacher populations. She is the co-creator of Hip-HopYoga and provides professional development to schools across the globe. Carla is the creator of the I'm a Good Kid! behavior model and is a certified yoga instructor with a Master's Degree in Curriculum & Instruction.
Carla designs professional development programs to equip teachers with tools necessary to promote positive behavior and mind/body wellness in the classroom. She is the Curriculum Director and one of the founders of Community Links High School, Little Village, Chicago. She has created the Late-Start High School specifically designed for at-risk student populations.
