Creating a Results-Oriented Learning Culture

Overview – In Creating a Results Oriented Learning Culture the practitioner will demonstration skills necessary to: create trusting and collaboration relationships; develop and communicate expectations for student and stakeholders attainment of goals for personal and collective growth; develop and implement of practice that motivate and empower learners to be actively participate in their learning and personal growth; and facilitate a plan with strategies, implementation timelines, evaluation, and monitoring processes to establish a results-oriented environment where everyone is results oriented and accountable for the personal and collective growth of all members of the learning organization.

Essential OutcomesCreating a Results Oriented Learning Cultureincludes the following five identified essential outcomes:

  1. Build trusting relationships to facilitate collaboration and success for students, staff, and parents.
  2. Collaboratively develop and communicate expectations and results of all stakeholders’ learning and growth.
  3. Facilitate the collaborative setting and attainment of goals for personal and collective growth of both students and staff.
  4. Develop and implement practices or routines that spark motivation and empower teachers and students to be active participants in their learning and personal growth.
  5. Provide a plan with strategies, implementation timelines, evaluation, and monitoring process to establish a result-oriented environment in which everyone is accountable for the personal and collective growth of all organizational members.

Requirements

Part 1. Overview Questions – Develop a responsive narrative that answers the following questions (1,000-word minimum):

  1. What steps have you taken to build collaborative relationships with stakeholders on school improvement initiatives under your leadership?
  2. How were various stakeholder groups engaged in the planning of an initiative, including goal setting, communication, and feedback plans for the initiative(s)?
  3. How were the professional development needs of your faculty identified and addressed in order to develop their capacity to use data effectively and accurately?
  4. What strategies did you implement to foster a results-oriented environment in your educational setting? Include in your discussion a strategy used to create a learning environment that maintains a strong focus on outcomes and student achievement; a strategy used to develop well-articulated goals; and a strategy used to build commitment among stakeholders toward achieving established goals.

Part 2. Skill Demonstration Product with Self-Analysis

Develop an artifact portfolio that captures the essential outcomes for the Creating a Results Oriented Learning Culture Micro-Credential and complete the evidence self-analysis.

For each EO detail you will be required to reference an uploaded artifact(s) and guide the assessor to the specific evidence (page number, video time stamp, etc.) within the uploaded artifact(s). An explanation of how the evidence demonstrates proficiency of the outcome detail is also required. The practitioner must clearly and compellingly demonstrate proficiency of every detail under each essential outcome.

Part 3. Reflection & Application

Submit, in writing, a summary of your experience of Creating a Results Oriented Learning Culture MC (500-word minimum); highlight and provide specific examples of how you applied the five essential outcome components of Creating a Results Oriented Learning Culture. This could include topics covered; challenges or obstacles you addressed in order to develop a results-oriented culture in your school or district; and professional development you completed in order to improve personal data analysis skills. Include a reflection about the impact of this skill on your professional practice and how you will continue to apply it in the future.
