Personnel


OverviewPersonnel Micro-Credential involves the principal’s ability to demonstrate the effective and efficient management of the school’s personnel by providing structures and processes for recruitment, selection and induction of high-quality personnel; effective and efficient communication, guidelines, and procedures; and implementation processes and procedures that ensure teacher and staff accountability; maintaining personnel records and reports that meet federal, state, and local requirements; and a plan that establishes and monitors best practices in personnel management.

Essential OutcomesPersonnel includes the following five identified essential outcomes:

  1. Provide structures and processes for the recruitment, selection and induction of high-quality personnel.
  2. Effectively and efficiently communicate expectations, guidelines, and procedures to all personnel.
  3. Implement processes and procedures that ensure accountability for teachers and staff members.
  1. Efficiently maintain personnel records and reports that comply with state rules and regulations and local policy.
  2. Provide a plan with strategies, implementation timelines, evaluation, and monitoring process to establish best practices in personnel management.

Requirements

Part 1 – Overview Questions

Develop a responsive narrative that answers the following questions (1,000-word minimum):

  1. What is your school’s process for the recruitment, selection and induction of high-quality support personnel whose responsibility it is to maintain cleanliness and safety of facilities and grounds?
  2. How does the school principal efficiently communicate expectations, guidelines, and procedures about school safety and cleanliness to teachers and staff in the school?
  3. How does the school principal hold staff accountable for improvement in their duties through feedback and interventions that comply with federal, state, and local regulations?
  4. What is your school’s plan to facilitate continuous improvement regarding the management of personnel whose responsibility it is to maintain cleanliness and safety of facility and grounds? (This includes implementation strategies, goals, outcomes, monitoring progress, and next steps.)

Part 2 – Skill Demonstration Product with Self-Analysis

Develop an artifact portfolio that captures the essential outcomes for the Personnel Micro-Credential and complete the evidence self-analysis.

For each EO detail you will be required to reference an uploaded artifact(s) and guide the assessor to the specific evidence (page number, video time stamp, etc.) within the uploaded artifact(s). An explanation of how the evidence demonstrates proficiency of the outcome detail is also required. The practitioner must clearly and compellingly demonstrate proficiency of every detail under each essential outcome.

Part 3 – Reflection and Application

Submit, in writing, a summary of your experience of Personnel from the Managerial Leadership stack (500-word minimum) to highlight and provide specific examples of how you applied the three components of the Personnel Micro-Credential. This could include topics covered and a description of the process used to manage fiscal and non-fiscal resources. Include a reflection about the impact of these skills on your professional practice and how you will continue to apply them in the future.
